In order to standby for host, first you must have box host. This means that you must be in step 2, by yourself, with
no yellow boxes/ or in other words - matched players. (You can guarantee yourself getting box host everytime instead of once
every 25 tries by checking out the bridging section.) Now, once you have box host, you will begin to see the empty boxes fill
up with matched players.... this is good. Then you will proceed to step 3, this is when you have to get ready. As you move
from step 3 to step 4, the yellow boxes will disappear. At that split second you will press your standby button. If
done correctly, you should proceed to step 4 and every thing will appear normal, and you will see the countdown timer still
going. (It should take at most 8 seconds to see this, if you dont see it in that 8 seconds, you should press the
standby button again or else you will be lagged out!)
It can be difficult at first, but it will soon become like second nature, you just have to learn how long it takes for
your xbox to continue from step 3 to 4 and you can get it everytime. My honest opinion is to go with bridging. That way you
get boot people from the game! :) Its much more fun.
